Why should you buy my vegetable plants? There are a number of reasons but here are a few:
You know me! You trust my growing methods. You can feel confident in knowing that the plants you get from me were grown using only organic methods. You can be assured the plants producing your beautiful bounty were grown free of toxic chemicals, and since you will continue growing the plants in the same manner, doesn’t it make sense to start with strong, healthy toxin free plants?
Buying plants in big box stores or even small garden shops, you have no idea what they used, sprayed to grow their plants.
And here’s another reason to buy your plants from me. I offer your favorites every year, as well as each year some new super cool unique varieties. And this year is no exception. You won’t find many of these varieties anywhere else. Since there are literally thousands of tomato and pepper varieties, it is impossible for anyone to grow them all. Usually other stores only sell what is popular. Never having been a follower, I like to find the unique to grow in my garden and in turn offer to you.
Why celery? Growing your own celery is just amazing. If you never have, I strongly encourage you to do so. When you buy celery in the store even if organic, all the leaves have been cut off!!!. This is the best part of the celery!!! And often the leaves can grow up to 8-10"! I freeze them for fresh tasting celery in soups all winter. Dehydrate for celery powder too.
To grow celery the seeds need to be sowed 10 weeks before last frost. They take a very long time to germinate and grow. SO this is why I’m offering in pre-sale.
This year I’m offering garden consultation in your home garden. My hourly rate is $50, however if you spend $100 or more on my veggie plants I’ll give you $25 off. You can use the consultation anytime during the 2024 growing season.
Pre-sale begins now and will be available until March 1, 2024. I'll start sowing seeds around mid March with celery followed by eggplant, peppers and then tomatoes around end of March. So this will allow be the time I need to get all my seeds and seed starting station organized in my dining room! Greens, herbs later.
When plants are available for you to pick up you'll be notified by email. So it's imperative you include your email AND phone number when placing your order.
I strongly suggest waiting until the end of May or even first week of June to plant the heat loving plants. Evening temps must be consistently in the 50's for the soil temperature to be ideal for heat loving plants. This is when I've been planting mine forever with great success. If you would like yours sooner because of vacation or whatever please let me know.
